Domaine Fontaine du Clos Vacqueyras (France)
This beautiful wine consists of Syrah and Grenache grapes. The two varieties are vinified separately. The Grenache grapes are aged in tanks on fine lies and the Syrah in oak barrels, before blending and bottling.
This Vacqueyras has a ruby color with purple hues. In the nose aroma’s of blackberries, strawberries and raspberries with a touch of the woods and hints of nutmeg and caramel. The wine has a medium to full body, but is still fresh and concentrated. The wine can be kept for about 4 to 5 years.
Delicious with red meat, game, stew and all kinds of cheeses.
