Domaine Pollier Macon Villages
For four generations Domaine Pollier has been situated in Fuisse. They added vineyards in Saint Véran in 1984, Macon Village in 1999 and Macon-chaintre in 2006. What started with 4 hectares of vineyards, now includes more than 13 hectares.
The domain is devided in 41 parcels with Chardonnay and Gamay grapes. The vineyard is situated on the steep slopes on the rocks of Vergisson en Solutré on a soils of clay and limestone. The grapes take advantage of the best light, moist and temperature on an altitude of 250 to 300 meters above sea level.
This Macon Villages is made of 100% Chardonnay grapes that come from 12 year old vines.
This wine shows ripe fruit in the nose. On the palate it is well structured with a touch of honey. The freshness goes very well with the structure of the wine. The wine is fresh and has yet a pleasant maturity.
Pairs perfectly with shellfish, white fish, pork and mushrooms.
